I'm hoping we can use this blog to share some of our experiences travelling in Sierra Leone. I'll back post some earlier articles posted by myself and others in addition to new ones.
It's less than a week to go before i set off to good ol 'salone'.. so many things to do before one leaves but one is procastinating as usual. Ideally i should be in bed.. but this is my first blog and i'm desperate to see how it works.
I'm also starting to get anxious about the trip(as one does with a week to go and still no christmas shopping) so i don't sleep much these days! Can't wait to step of the plane and inhale the warm air that caresses my face (poetic or what?) when i step out the plane at Lungi Airport. The process at Lungi is getting better, especially on the way in. I don't like airports though.. Lungi or JFK and i hope i get through and to Freetown as soon as possible..
Freetown is going to be hectic this Christmas holidays. There's weddings, parties, boat trips, raves, fashion shows. I can just picture the city on a Saturday afternoon.. maybe i'll just stay at home :)
This is enough for now - i'll have to look through other blogs to see how this is done but so far so good. I should really go back to bed.

Welcome to the Blogosphere, Otolo. We will keep an eye out for your postings about Sierra Leone and hopefully other African countries.
If you need any assistance with your new blog, don't be shy to ask for help from your fellow blog authors. Checkout the web-based photo services from Flickr ( Yahoo!) and the photo management and publishing software from Picasa and Hello (Google). All of the above tools integrate flawlessly with Google's Blogger software. Blogger Help files are very useful too.
Have a Merry Christmas 2005 down in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
